Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Direct-Write Lithography Engineer to manage the daily operations and maintenance of electron-beam and ion-beam lithography systems at Stanford Nano Shared Facilities. This role requires providing training and support to researchers, developing advanced techniques, and planning upgrades and new equipment.

About Us:

The Stanford Nano Shared Facilities offer access to state-of-the-art nanofabrication and characterization facilities for scientists and engineers from academia, companies, and government laboratories. Our facilities serve over 1,200 researchers annually.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and scientific expertise in planning and implementing major projects using direct-write lithography.
  • Develop innovative technological ideas and guide their development into final products or new research approaches.
  • Offer expert consultation and collaboration on technical requirements, capabilities, and advancement opportunities.
  • Supervise staff and resources to meet program objectives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and five years of relevant experience, or Master's degree in a related field and two years of experience; or PhD in a related science field.
  • In-depth knowledge of electron and/or ion beam lithography principles and applications.
  • Strong desire to collaborate with diverse scientific backgrounds and demonstrated ability to communicate across disciplines.
