Job Title: Full Charge Bookkeeper

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team at Salem's Fresh Eats. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions, including accruals, financial statement preparation, and general accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle accounts receivable, data entry, and cutting checks as necessary
  • Manage accounts payable, including purchase orders and vendor records maintenance
  • Perform multiple bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts, reviewing for input accuracy and preparing monthly reports and journal entries as needed
  • Maintain general ledger
  • Assist with the annual budget and audit process
  • Maintain financial document retention files
  • Set up and maintain new vendors
  • Reconcile vendor statements and discrepancies
  • Prepare and review expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure
  • Perform other related duties as requested by the administrative manager

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred but not required)
  • Proficient in QuickBooks with a minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • 3-5 years of Full Charge Bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Thrives in a collaborative team player office environment
  • Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills
