Quality Assurance Engineer

Crawford Thomas Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure customer requirements and quality standards are met.
  • Conduct supplier qualification evaluations and selections to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, surveillance, and inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Translate customer, regulatory, and code requirements into manufacturing instructions.
  • Provide technical support to inspectors and operators as needed.
  • Review and approve drawings, routings, specifications, procedures, supplier certifications, and similar documents related to assigned projects.
  • Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures.
  • Review and evaluate in-process rejections, review and approve disposition, evaluate root cause, and implement corrective action when needed.
  • Identify potential project or supplier quality issues.
  • Review, evaluate, and respond to customer and/or supplier correspondence.
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of quality program manuals and related department and divisional procedures.
  • Work to develop and implement improvement programs to design and re-engineer quality techniques and processes that impact cost, time, and quality objectives.
  • Assist other departments as necessary in establishing standards relative to ensuring product quality.
Requirements:
  • Must be a sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
  • BS Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in relevant field, preferably in: Nuclear Power Industry or Nuclear Navy experience.
  • Lead Auditor certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing.
  • Regulated Industries (e.g., food, aerospace, transportation, biotech).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt / Master Black Belt certifications.
  • ASQ Certifications.
