Clinical Specialist

The Primary Clinical Specialist is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role requires a high level of organization, communication, and technical skills to ensure seamless patient flow and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Assisting Physicians: Provide clinical and administrative support to physicians, including preparing patients for examination and treatment, obtaining vital signs, and recording patient information.
- Patient Care: Deliver high-quality patient care, including taking and recording patient vital signs, interviewing patients to understand their medical history, and providing education on home physical therapy exercises and rehabilitation techniques.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including test results, examination findings, and treatment plans.
- Administrative Duties: Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, preparing paperwork, and coordinating referrals to other healthcare providers.
- Education and Experience: Completion of an accredited program in nursing, medical assisting, or athletic training, with one to two years of professional experience in a clinical setting.
- Certifications and Licenses: Possess and maintain current certifications in CPR and Emergency First Aid, and hold a valid LPN license in Indiana.
This role requires working in a clinical environment, with exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and other conditions common to a healthcare setting. The position also requires standing for long periods, excessive walking, and manual dexterity to handle and lift patients.
