Unified Group Services is a leading third-party administrator (TPA) for self-insured group health plans. We are dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and flexibility in administering employee benefit plans.

Job Summary:

The Reinsurance Specialist will work in a team environment to file reinsurance claims with the carrier on over-specific claims. This individual will gather all documentation for proof of claims, run RX reports for filing, complete over-specific claims cover sheets, and document claim filings on Excel Spreadsheet at the time of filing. They will also log all reimbursements in Excel and send letters to clients regarding refunds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Filing reinsurance claims with the carrier on over-specific claims
  • Gathering all documentation for proof of claims
  • Running RX reports for filing
  • Completing over-specific claims cover sheets
  • Documenting claim filings on Excel Spreadsheet
  • Logging all reimbursements in Excel
  • Sending letters to clients regarding refunds
  • Researching unpaid and rejected over-specific claims and replying to reinsurance companies
  • Scanning all submissions into WLT and keeping files on over-specific individuals
  • Collaborating with the Marketing Department on all closing groups and updating the Client Data Sheet
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Health insurance experience is helpful but not required
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook skills
  • Polite, courteous, and professional phone skills
  • Excellent attendance
  • Excellent customer service and a desire to exceed customer expectations
