Family & Children's Agency Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate C-Kin Kinship Navigator to provide essential support services to kinship, foster, and pre-adoptive families in the Bridgeport, Norwalk, and Stamford region. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with families to stabilize their situations, develop permanency plans, and prevent placement disruptions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide in-home and community-based services to kinship, foster, and pre-adoptive families for up to 6 months.
- Help families navigate the service system, connect them with local resources, and empower them to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with program supervisors, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive support for families.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, organizations, and service providers to enhance family outcomes.
- Conduct home visits, assessments, and case management to identify family needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) candidates are preferred.
- Understanding of the impact of substance abuse, domestic violence, mental illness, and intergenerational trauma on family functioning.
- Ability to work with diverse populations, including kinship, foster, and pre-adoptive families.
- Knowledge of the service system for children and adults in the Bridgeport, Norwalk, and Stamford region.
