Stepping Stones Museum for Children is a leading institution in the field of early childhood education, and we are seeking a highly qualified Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. Salary and Benefits

Our Early Childhood Education Specialist will be compensated with a competitive annual salary of $43,000 to $48,000, commensurate with experience. Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our early childhood education program, including staff and children, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will lead the planning and implementation of STEAM-aligned learning experiences, supervise classroom staff, and ensure the health and safety of children under your care. You will also engage families in their children's learning outcomes through regular communication and collaboration.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field, with at least 12 credits in child development or early childhood education.
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional childcare experience.
  • A working knowledge of the Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards, or comparable standards framework.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new systems and software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred.
