We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Fairfax Behavioral Health, a private, free-standing mental health hospital. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, light HVAC, testing and inspections of physical plant equipment, preventive maintenance, transportation, and various janitorial duties with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hospital facilities, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work.
- Conduct inspections and testing of physical plant equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating equipment and replacing filters.
- Transport equipment and supplies as needed.
- Perform various janitorial duties, including cleaning and disinfecting surfaces.
- High school graduate or equivalent; two-year degree from technical or trade school preferred or three years applicable experience.
- Must have experience in one or more of the following: Healthcare facilities engineering; Other commercial building maintenance; Construction journeyman tradesman or equivalent trades' skills experience.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Desired qualifications: Currently hold Mechanic Evaluation and Certification for Healthcare (MECH) certification, or actively seeking to gain MECH certification; BOMA training certifications; and/or other trainings and certifications relevant to healthcare facilities, and commercial building maintenance.
