Facilities Maintenance Specialist

At Newport Healthcare, we are dedicated to providing compassionate care to young people and their families. We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team.
About the Role:The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, including preventative maintenance, repairs, and reporting of health and safety compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Conduct periodic water temperature checks and recordings.
- Coordinate preventative facilities maintenance appointments with external contractors.
- Assist in general facility maintenance and repairs, setup/movement of items, and painting as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to Newport Healthcare standards.
- Schedule work effectively, limiting disturbance to programming and staff.
- Maintain professional working relationships with contractors.
- Conduct periodic facility-wide walk-throughs and documentation of all repairs necessary to maintain environment and ensure Newport Academy standards are met.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two plus years' experience in facilities maintenance.
- Medical/Dental/Vision.
