Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all facilities at Newport Healthcare. This includes completing preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as reporting any health and safety compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address any maintenance needs
Perform preventative maintenance on all utilities, including well systems, septic systems, plumbing, HVAC systems, electrical service and hardware, backup generators, and fuel supplies
Coordinate with contractors to complete maintenance work that cannot be done in-house
Conduct periodic water temperature checks and recordings, as well as sprinkler system pressure and water level recordings
Assist with general facility maintenance and repairs, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and setup/movement of items
Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and to Newport Healthcare standards
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Two plus years' experience in facilities maintenance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
