Position Overview:
The Warehouse Parts Specialist plays a crucial role in the efficient management of parts logistics, encompassing the shipping and receiving of components, alongside inventory oversight and maintaining cleanliness within the warehouse environment. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently load and unload parts delivery vehicles, utilizing both manual handling and material handling equipment.
- Accurately pick, pack, and label orders for customers.
- Coordinate with trucking and courier services for timely pickups.
- Generate packing slips and maintain precise records of all shipments.
- Conduct a thorough 3-way match of purchase orders and vendor invoices to ensure shipment accuracy.
- Monitor both inbound and outbound orders to guarantee prompt fulfillment of customer requests.
- Adhere to established shipping and receiving protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide support to colleagues and customers, both internal and external, as required.
- Assist in hose building tasks when necessary.
- Participate in annual inventory counts to uphold stock accuracy.
- Maintain warehouse and yard storage areas in accordance with Finning's housekeeping standards, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Conduct daily inspections of tools and small equipment, replenishing warehouse supplies as needed.
- Accurately categorize and assign storage locations for incoming inventory.
- Identify and clean equipment parts and attachments prior to storage.
- Perform minor assembly and refurbishment tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a minimum of a grade 12 education. Previous experience in parts warehousing or heavy equipment is advantageous. Candidates must hold or be willing to obtain safety training certifications, including crane and forklift operation, as well as WHMIS and TDG. A strong commitment to safety practices is essential.
