Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer

Job Summary:

The Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for the development of real-time controllers and motion planning algorithms for advanced driver assistance systems from concept phase to production. This role requires a strong background in control systems, algorithm development, and software engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and test real-time controllers for steering, throttle, and brake systems for advanced driver assistance systems.
  • Develop and optimize motion planning algorithms for semi-autonomous and autonomous driving vehicles.
  • Develop and maintain vehicle state estimators.
  • Integrate and evaluate combinations of motion planning, vehicle state estimation, and control algorithms.
  • Implement software and algorithms using simulation tools, including model/software/hardware-in-the-loop platforms.
  • Work with perception algorithm teams for trajectory optimization and tracking and control components tuning.
  • Support embedded software teams to integrate software and algorithms onto production-intended hardware platforms.
  • Verify algorithms at component and bench level.
  • Test and tune algorithms in the vehicle.
  • Analyze stability control and system-level performance during vehicle maneuvers.
  • Internal and external customer requirement analysis.
  • Develop software in compliance with a formal ASPICE/CMMi-based global product engineering process.
  • Perform complex work assignments requiring independent problem-solving and decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in automotive electronics serial development projects.
  • Highly skilled with ADAS experience.
  • Knowledge of feature development engineering practices in the automotive field.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow.
