Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing significant projects throughout Pennsylvania, ensuring they are executed from inception to completion while adhering to time, budget, and quality standards. The position entails 75% local travel within the Pittsburgh to Harrisburg area, with remote work options available for candidates based in Pennsylvania. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
Core Duties Include:
- Direct and manage various projects with an emphasis on safety, budget adherence, and timely delivery.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and engineering calculations.
- Manage change orders and Requests for Information (RFIs) effectively.
- Monitor and report on project progress, scheduling, invoicing, financials, and forecasting.
- Develop comprehensive project schedules, cost estimates, budgets, scopes of work, and supplier quotes.
- Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality benchmarks.
- Facilitate communication among all stakeholders to guarantee project alignment from design through construction and close-out.
- Handle subcontractor and procurement documentation, including vendor negotiations, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, environmental) with a minimum of 7 years of experience in project or construction management.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is mandatory.
- Demonstrated experience in managing project finances, value engineering, and overseeing multi-million dollar projects.
- Strong comprehension of mechanical, electrical, and architectural plans.
- Familiarity with Distributed Generation and Micro-grid technologies (e.g., Solar, CHP, Battery Storage) is advantageous.
- PMP certification is preferred or a commitment to obtain it within 18 months.
Travel Expectations:
- 75% local travel within the Pittsburgh to Harrisburg region, with travel expenses covered.
