Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team at Wood. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical control systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial applications
  • Develop and implement control logic using Siemens PLC programming
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system architecture meets client requirements
  • Conduct site visits to ensure system installation and commissioning
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical controls engineering
  • Proficiency in Siemens PLC programming and design
  • Experience with system architecture and control panel design
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ControlLogix, PLC5, SLC500, and Studio 5000
  • Knowledge of FactoryTalk View and PanelBuilder PDS
  • Experience with MS SQL Server and RSView Studio
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Familiarity with Ford NextGen standards and General Electric PLC's

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to climb a 2-story ladder
  • Can walk a mile in 20 minutes
  • Be able to cover, on foot, a reasonable distance on a job site
  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs without difficulty
  • All of the above items to be accomplished while carrying a laptop computer
