Position Summary:

The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, a distinguished independent clinical practice group associated with the George Washington University, is inviting applications for faculty positions in the Department of Pathology, specifically for surgical pathologists.

We are expanding our clinical services, genomic molecular pathology, digital and computational pathology, and innovative research initiatives.

Our advanced medical center, featuring a state-of-the-art hospital and a growing Cancer Center, is situated in a dynamic campus environment.

We welcome applicants with surgical pathology training and certification in molecular genetic pathology or expertise in digital and computational pathology.

Candidates with robust research backgrounds who can lead principal investigator-led studies may be eligible for dedicated research support and laboratory facilities.

These non-tenure track faculty roles will be filled at various ranks (Instructor/Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) with compensation aligned with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities encompass delivering clinical services in surgical pathology subspecialties, including breast, gynecological, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, renal, thoracic, lung pathology, and cytopathology; instructing residents, fellows, and medical students; and sustaining an active research agenda as independent investigators or in collaboration with surgeons, oncologists, and other clinical and basic science researchers.

Minimum Qualifications:
MD, MD/PhD, PhD or equivalent; board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at the time of appointment; eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia; and fellowship training and/or experience in general surgical pathology and/or a subspecialty area of surgical pathology or cytopathology.

Advertised Salary:
$200,000 - $289,000
