Gastroenterology Faculty Position in Virginia

Location: Virginia, within a 75-mile radius of major cities such as Richmond and Raleigh, and just a couple of hours from beautiful beaches and mountains.
Position Overview: The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking a dedicated faculty member at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, with a preference for those also certified in Transplant Hepatology. Expertise in diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic liver diseases is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical services in Hepatology clinics, including outreach locations.
- Engage in the inpatient management of patients with liver conditions, utilizing specialized knowledge in liver disorders.
- Serve as an attending physician on the Digestive Health service.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
Teaching and Mentorship: The successful candidate will also be responsible for educating medical students, residents, and fellows on the management of liver conditions, emphasizing chronic liver disorders and endoscopic techniques.
