Job Title: Corrections Officer
Hall County is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Corrections Officer to join our team. As a Corrections Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the Correctional Institution, ensuring the well-being of inmates, and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce discipline and order among inmates, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
- Conduct searches, receive and store personal property, and assign inmates to dormitories.
- Patrol the facility and grounds, monitoring inmate activities and reporting any unusual circumstances.
- Transport inmates to and from work crews, medical appointments, and other destinations.
- Assist with the maintenance of the facility, including cleaning, repairs, and upkeep.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- POST Certification required within one year of hire.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain within six months.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Corrections Officers work in a correctional facility, which can be a challenging and demanding environment. They may be exposed to physical and emotional stress, as well as hazardous materials and situations. Regular breaks and time off are provided to ensure the well-being of employees.
