Job Summary

The Surgical Technologist III will provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary for aseptic technique, equipment setup, and supply management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Set up and prepare equipment and sterile supplies as needed for assigned cases.
  • Pull and break down cases at the end of procedures, ensuring efficient workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date on instrumentation, equipment, and supply needs for various surgical procedures.
  • Perform delegated duties consistent with scope of practice and function within the overall plan of care delivery.
Requirements
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS Certification.
  • State of Colorado Surgical Registry required (DORA).
  • Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Operating Room Technicians required.
  • 3 or more years of experience as a Surgery Technician preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in the scrub role and demonstrated proficiency in multiple service lines/specialties.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills.
  • Communicates positively and professionally with all internal and external customers.
  • Authorized to handle medications, syringes, needles, etc. and accountable to the registered nurse for oversight of this practice.
