Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist III to join our team at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist III, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, providing exceptional patient care, and contributing to the overall success of our department.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to established protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and readily available for use.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, addressing their needs and concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • State of Colorado Surgical Registry required (DORA).
  • BLS required.
  • Current CST Certification from NBSTSA preferred.
  • Graduate of Surgical Technician Program.
  • One year's experience as a Surgical Technician in an OR.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of Surgical Technician III position.
  • Advanced knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and instrumentation.
  • Must be able to precept and mentor new and existing staff members in the role of a Surgical Technician.
