Ernest Packaging is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for the purchasing, profitability, and maintenance of select product lines while maintaining a professional relationship with our suppliers and acting as a liaison for designated product lines.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Source and investigate new products to meet the company's needs and improve product offerings

• Exceed expected turnaround times with external and internal customers, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service

• Establish target selling prices on all made-to-order merchandise and all non-stock items, ensuring optimal pricing and profitability

• Create and maintain part numbers and initial cost set-ups within our enterprise resource planning system

• Monitor and manage inventory in Stock and JIT categories, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information

• Update costing after verification by our vendors, ensuring accurate and timely pricing

• Process merchandise control requests in a timely manner, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management

• Maintain an up-to-date log of supplier increases, ensuring transparency and accountability

• Update and maintain accurate information on all reports, providing valuable insights and data-driven decision-making

• Responsible for managing all documents, including correspondence, quotes, and other relevant materials

• Maintain open communication with our suppliers on lead-times, ensuring timely and effective supply chain management

• Work effectively and professionally with inter-departmental personnel, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication

**Requirements**

• Problem analysis and problem resolution skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues

• Process control and process improvement skills, with the ability to analyze and improve business processes

• Planning and organization skills, with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects simultaneously

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders

• Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software

• Related work experience in the packaging or industrial industry is a plus
