Position Summary: As an Experienced Meat Specialist, you will enhance sales in your section to provide our members with more of what they cherish, at a lower cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams and assist in educating fellow associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills to deliver excellent customer service; remain adaptable to business needs; monitor inventory, maintain stock levels, and manage shrinkage.
  • Meat Expertise: Acquire comprehensive knowledge of various meat types and their seasonal availability, proficiently process meat according to specifications (such as cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping); ensure adherence to food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and inventory management; operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize digital tools to boost sales, enhance the shopping experience, and improve associate engagement; employ handheld technology to make immediate business decisions regarding production, training, and product quality with the member's interests in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to do the same.
  • Operational Ownership: Drive business outcomes by committing to operational excellence, planning for profitability, and maintaining a work area in accordance with company policies; ensure quality standards for high-volume meat products; minimize waste; secure delicate and high-shrink merchandise; assist members with purchasing decisions; ensure proper packaging, labeling, and storage of merchandise.
  • Talent Advocacy: Act as an advocate for the department and the club by prioritizing the member's experience in the meat section and exemplifying high-quality service and products; execute foundational tasks at the highest quality level; engage with associates to identify challenges and assist in training them to fulfill job-related responsibilities while adhering to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Compensation: The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00, with the actual hourly rate meeting or exceeding the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be awarded based on specific circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of 6 months' experience in a fresh production department. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Meat Processing.
