About the Internship

At Whole Foods Market, we're committed to nourishing people and the planet. As part of our mission, we're excited to offer a 10-week summer internship program in Sensory and Product Development. This internship is designed for students who are passionate about food science and want to make a meaningful impact in their community.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze sensory data to inform product development decisions
  • Work with the sensory team to build a new sensory capability and document the process
  • Create and document Innovation Kitchen processes that maximize efficiency
  • Participate in product cuttings for new and existing products as part of a cross-functional team
  • Assist with market research by conducting competitive shopping or using 3rd-party research tools
  • Assist with Product Development review of specifications
  • Prepare products and references as necessary
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field
  • Experience in the food industry, such as a restaurant or manufacturing facility, is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
