Job Summary:

The **Food and Beverage Operations Manager** will oversee the activities of restaurant staff, expedite customer orders, and support a culture of service within the team. This role is essential to creating unforgettable dining experiences for our guests and ensuring the overall success of our food and beverage operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of food and beverage areas within the hotel, including scheduling, payroll, forecasting, and training.
  • Responsibility for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as all operating procedures.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with a focus on food and beverage cost control.
  • Setting an above-average example of service to line-level employees by interacting with guests.
  • Planning, organizing, controlling, and directing the work of employees in the Hotel's food and beverage outlets.
  • Ability to work quickly in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
  • Scheduling staff according to business needs, special functions, and influencing business.
  • Maintaining an accurate reservation system and advising the kitchen of incoming reservations.
  • Ability to independently problem-solve issues that arise in the restaurant.
  • Working with line-level staff and kitchen to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
  • Executing large parties and understanding booking procedures.
  • Selecting, training, evaluating, leading, motivating, coaching, and disciplining all employees in the restaurant.
  • Describing and ensuring the quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Directing details of a particular service group to focus on streamlining service and enhancing the guest experience.
  • Providing calm leadership on the floor and in the back of the house at all times.
  • Organizational, leadership, and communication skills to provide leadership for the employees.
  • Attending and participating in departmental meetings, leadership meetings, and hotel employee functions.
  • Assisting other F&B departments when needed, demonstrating teamwork within F&B department.
  • Closing and cashing out employees at end of shifts, ensuring accuracy and accountability for cash and banks.
  • Proficient with payroll system to approve vacation, sick time, and time cards.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team to facilitate solutions and meet deadlines.
  • Maintaining and following food safety standards and personal conduct.
  • Following Company policies and procedures as established in the Employee Handbook.
  • Following and delivering 4-Star services' standards, delighting guests by anticipating their needs.
Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
  • High school diploma or equivalent experience/training, with a four-year college degree in Hospitality preferred.
  • At least 23 years of restaurant management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, with luxury branded hospitality experience preferred.
  • New Mexico Food Handler Certification, ServSafe Manager Certification, and Alcohol Server Certification required.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and late nights.
  • Ability to work on your feet for eight hours or more.
  • Knowledge of Restaurant Point of Sale systems.
  • Ability to lift/push/reach for/carry 30+ pounds frequently.
