The Senior Administrative Clerk plays a crucial role in the business operations office, offering cashiering, administrative, and financial support services.

This position involves performing advanced clerical and financial tasks within the financial office, including cashiering and mail processing.

Additionally, this role is responsible for coordinating clerical functions such as ordering materials and office supplies, managing and transporting facility documents or mail, and maintaining precise financial records related to billing for services rendered to patients.

The Senior Administrative Clerk possesses a comprehensive understanding of relevant rules and facility policies, demonstrates effective communication skills both verbally and in writing, and provides training to colleagues as necessary.

Completing job responsibilities requires working with limited supervision, allowing for significant initiative and independent judgment while delivering outstanding customer service to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Attend work consistently and predictably in accordance with agency policies and perform additional duties as assigned.

Manage the receipt, sorting, date stamping, and distribution of all cash and accompanying documentation received in the cashier's office.


Oversee the receiving, distribution, filing, and storage of completed deposit records and cash disbursement records for patients.

Assist in maintaining the organization, tracking log, and documentation of cash transactions in the cashier database, generating daily reports of transactions for facilities and relevant administrative personnel.


Prepare or compile daily receipts and bank deposits.

Other responsibilities may include administrative, business, and fiscal services. Provide training on tasks to new employees in similar roles.

Participate and/or support the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation, which may necessitate alternate shift patterns or locations.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Familiarity with clerical and financial procedures; proficient use of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and arithmetic; understanding of business and financial policies and procedures; and knowledge of records administration and mailing procedures.


Proficiency in using personal computers and Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as data entry using a 10-key calculator.

Ability to prepare and maintain records, files, and reports; transfer electronic records; perform arithmetic computations; communicate effectively; and train other employees.
