Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Multi-Unit General Manager to join our team in Chicago. This role requires a minimum of five years of management experience, preferably in the food industry, and a proven track record of client relationship-building. You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients and managing daily food service operations across multiple units.

Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with client contacts, ensuring best practices are met. Communicate regularly with clients regarding site performance and identify areas for growth or improvement.
  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage daily operations of a multi-unit campus-type food service location, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Manage a team of at least ten direct reports (exempt and non-exempt) with minimum revenues of $10 million.
  • Compliance and Financial Management: Ensure all direct reports have up-to-date foodservice certifications and confirm compliance with government and agency standards, including safety and health regulations. Manage the annual assigned budget and maintain costs related to all operations.
Requirements
  • At least 5-8 years of multi-unit management experience, preferably in the food industry.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead by example in effectively communicating with multiple levels of employees.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated success in hiring, training, and retaining team members.
  • Ability to analyze and report on a P&L.
  • Willingness to work in a seven-day operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Apple Applications.
