Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, and produce compelling news stories for broadcast.
  • Collaborate with Producers to format and structure newscasts effectively.
  • Edit video content and create graphics and overlays for on-air presentations and social media platforms.
  • Maintain continuous communication with Journalists, the Assignment Desk, and Management regarding story updates and live opportunities.
  • Facilitate real-time communication during broadcasts concerning live shots and story adjustments.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional writing and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A collaborative team player with sound editorial judgment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must have a clean driving record, valid car insurance, and pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
