Job Summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to join our team at Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform mammography exams according to established protocols and guidelines
  • Verify patient identification and medical history before each exam
  • Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure smooth exam workflow
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to hospital standards
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable imaging results
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, participating in ongoing education and training
Requirements
  • Associate degree in radiologic sciences or equivalent
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in mammography
  • Licensure by the State of Texas
  • Two years of experience in mammography, with clinical training at UTSW considered as experience
  • ARRT mammography registry highly desired
