The Accounts Receivable Specialist will oversee all credit and collections activities for a designated portfolio of mid-tier accounts, aligning with the objectives of the credit department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage credit and collections tasks and overall accounts receivable operations.
  • Conduct regular analyses of customer accounts, performing root cause assessments to address issues promptly.
  • Recommend appropriate credit limits for accounts and identify matters requiring escalation.
  • Authorize credit extensions within designated limits and approve credit inquiries.
  • Prepare account statements, billing documentation, and necessary credit adjustments.
  • Identify causes of delinquency and implement resolutions as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers to ensure optimal cash flow.
  • Organize and facilitate customer meetings.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Credit Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable or credit roles.
  • At least 2 years of experience with electronic billing systems.
  • Proficient in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and power queries.
  • Intermediate understanding of financial statements and credit reporting tools.
  • Experience managing a portfolio and a solid grasp of reconciliations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative to achieve results in a timely manner.
  • Willingness to travel for customer account reviews as required.
  • Valid driving record in accordance with company policies.

Work Environment: Professional office setting

Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday to Friday

Travel Requirements: 5-10%
