Job Overview

FloWorks International LLC is a prominent distributor specializing in critical flow control solutions and tailored technical services for maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) applications. Our clientele spans various sectors, including chemical processing, downstream refining, renewable energy, high-purity and sanitary industries, among others. Our extensive product range encompasses valve and automation systems, corrosion-resistant flow control devices, rotating machinery, flanges, filters, purifiers, and instrumentation. We are a privately owned entity based in Houston, Texas.

As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to accurately record all incoming funds from financial institutions and post these transactions through various methods, including lockbox images, ACH transfers, credit card payments, and wire transfers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Precisely identify, post, and reconcile cash receipts on a daily basis, both manually and electronically.
  • Compile batch summary reports in accordance with established standards.
  • Address inquiries from customers or sales representatives via email and phone.
  • Employ effective research and analytical skills to resolve unidentified cash receipts.
  • Maintain organized records of all completed work.
  • Utilize the Get Paid system application on a daily basis.
  • Process customer refund requests efficiently.
  • Prioritize daily tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Assist colleagues and undertake special projects as directed by the supervisor.
  • Participate in the month-end and quarter-end accounting closing processes.
  • Be prepared to work extended hours as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist.
  • Experience with various banking software applications.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in computer skills, including 10-key by touch and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word), with intermediate Excel skills (V-lookups and pivot tables).
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.

Work Environment:

  • Positioned in a comfortable indoor setting, with infrequent exposure to unpleasant conditions.
  • Majority of the time spent sitting or standing in a designated area, with occasional requirements to stoop or lift light materials (typically under 8 pounds).
  • Overnight travel is minimal, less than 10% of the time.
