Child Development Specialist

As a Child Development Specialist, you will provide a place to belong and grow by facilitating positive behavior, having respect for diversity, being a genuine and clear communicator, with a commitment to continuous learning and required training.

You will supervise up to 18 children before and after the school day, ensuring their education, health, welfare, and safety by leading activities, promoting teamwork, building relationships, and adhering to licensing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise children before and after school
  • Lead activities and promote teamwork
  • Build relationships with children and families
  • Ensure compliance with licensing standards

Requirements:

  • Age 16 or older
  • Strong communication skills
  • Clear background check
  • Available to work before the school day starts or after the school day ends until 6 pm
  • Ready to complete comprehensive training including child safety, leadership, activity facilitation, YMCA policies, and CPR/AED certifications
