Job Summary:

The Coast Guard Community Services Command is seeking an IT Specialist to perform the role of an Application Software Support resource. This position is also responsible for performing the daily role as EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) coordinator of the EDI Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing, designing, documenting, programming, testing, and installing new Application systems or create/install modifications to existing Application Systems.
  • Perform the daily role as EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) coordinator of the EDI Systems.
  • Develop and implement software solutions to meet business needs.
  • Provide technical support and training to users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in software development, testing, and implementation.
  • Experience with ERP systems and EDI technology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
