Job Description

As a Manufacturing Leader at GE Aerospace, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line. This includes managing Service Shops and impacting the quality of your own work and the work of your team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage an operation, business, unit, or part of a production facility to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
  • Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards.
  • Team management of salaried employees, excluding production supervisors who oversee hourly employees.
  • Broaden your knowledge of your technical discipline to execute policy/strategy, including support roles with specialized technical fields of knowledge.
  • Develop a basic understanding of key business drivers and use this understanding to accomplish your work.
  • Have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework and resolve issues that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
  • Consult more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Lead a junior team and develop strong customer relationships for customer-facing roles, serving as the interface between customer and GE.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or a minimum high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of leadership experience.
  • 1+ years of demonstrated team leadership experience and results of that team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
