Job Summary: The Athletic Event Worker plays a crucial role in supporting the designated area during athletic events.

Role Overview: This position involves serving as the Emcee for various University of Alabama Athletics Events. The individual will be responsible for generating enthusiasm, engaging the audience, and ensuring the event proceeds seamlessly and punctually. The Emcee will monitor the event schedule, ensuring that each segment begins and concludes as planned. The role requires adaptability to manage unforeseen changes or delays, maintaining the event's flow. Additional responsibilities may include assisting with Marketing and Promotions tasks as needed during athletic events. The primary focus will be on Volleyball, Baseball, and Women's Basketball events, with the possibility of serving as a backup Emcee for other athletic events.

Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with experience as an emcee for sporting events. A strong understanding of the relevant sports is essential. Candidates may be asked to provide samples of previous work or participate in in-person auditions as part of the hiring process.

Background Check: Candidates must successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation. Information gathered from social media and other online sources will also be considered. A prior conviction does not automatically disqualify a candidate; each case will be reviewed individually.
