Job Summary

The Nutritionist develops and coordinates optimal nutritional services for individuals and groups, providing individual and group nutrition counseling and education.

This role requires a Master's Degree or higher in Nutrition and one year of direct patient care experience. Current/valid registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and active license as a Registered Dietitian in the state of Alabama are also required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate optimal nutritional services for individuals and groups
  • Provide individual and group nutrition counseling and education
  • Partner with team physicians, athletic trainers, and coaches to provide consultation, education, and nutrition therapy for various UA athletic programs
  • Assist with development, evaluation, and implementation of nutrition education programs for clinical learners at the College of Community Health Sciences
Requirements
  • Master's Degree or higher in Nutrition
  • One year of direct patient care experience
  • Current/valid registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
  • Active license as a Registered Dietitian in the state of Alabama
