CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Supporting the HR Manager in strategically enhancing the HR department's effectiveness.
  • Maintaining a positive employee relations environment within the facility.
  • Facilitating workplace investigations or inquiries as directed by the HR Manager, ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Ensuring employee retention rates meet organizational standards.
  • Managing data entry for time and attendance systems and overseeing job/vacation bidding processes.
  • Providing guidance on workforce planning and succession strategies, conducting orientations, and supporting on-the-job training initiatives.
  • Communicating and exemplifying The Judge Group's core principles of Responsibility, Operational Excellence, and Innovation.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Utilizing tools such as culture survey results to enhance employee engagement.
  • Empowering employees with essential resources regarding FMLA, LOA, ADA, and HR systems.
  • Assisting the HR Manager with performance guidance based on HR policies and collective agreements.
  • Providing leadership to junior staff in addressing employee needs and managing HR functions.
  • Actively engaging with employees on the production floor to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Overseeing HR compliance audits.
QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field, along with 3+ years of HR experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in leading training, coaching, or mentoring initiatives.
  • General knowledge of employment laws and HR practices.
  • Specialized knowledge of HR systems and processes.
  • Experience in administering benefits and compensation programs is preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems, payroll/timekeeping systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
