Job Summary

cGMP Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Calibration Specialist to coordinate all aspects of calibrations, including training of instrument users and ensuring timely calibration of instrumentation to improve performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for liaising with instrument owners, department management, and calibration technicians to improve the calibration system.

The successful candidate will be responsible for controlling instrument calibration dates, interfacing with users and calibration agencies, and supporting instrument compliance issues. This role requires a high level of organization, independence, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve calibration requests for correctness and ensure all data required are documented per Basic and Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
  • Coordinate nonconformance issues (CAPA and Audit) and support CAPA requirements.
  • Advise instrument owners/departments on calibration-related issues and ensure adequate programs exist at the user level for proper training.
  • Follow up and resolution of CAPA NCRs issues for calibration alerts and coordinate all calibration audit activities.
  • Manage and set up data in temperature and process monitoring systems per requirements for excursions and escalations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-year degree in a technical field or sciences.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in calibration and instrumentation in production.
  • Strong project management skills, organizational skills, and computer knowledge.
  • Proficiency in using various software packages, including Maximo, SAP, Vaisala, and Manufacturing Enterprise System.
