Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation and Control Systems Technician to join our team at Alliance Group Technologies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our production facility's instrument systems and equipment. This will involve identifying, developing, and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance solutions, as well as troubleshooting and calibrating industrial instrument and control systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial instrumentation systems and equipment, as well as excellent communication and team interaction skills. They will be able to work independently and make technical decisions and recommendations in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, test, and calibrate industrial instrument and control systems
  • Develop, plan, schedule, coordinate, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Assist in root cause analysis activities for major failures
  • Identify and resolve chronic or longer-term instrumentation asset concerns
  • Assist in turnaround planning and cost estimation of instrumentation work
  • Identify and implement new technologies and specify new instrument systems
  • Develop and train new and current instrument specialists in the facility
  • Lead Procal implementation and compliance activities within the facility
  • Assist in FDA and cGMP validation activities for instrumentation systems and assets
  • Assess equipment performance data and ensure optimal and efficient performance
  • Provide on-site or remote assistance and direction to plant or contract personnel to ensure safe and effective work

Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Engineering Technology Degree in Instrumentation/Electronics and minimum of 5 years of experience in the maintenance of instrumentation systems and equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in installation, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, and calibration of industrial instrumentation systems and equipment
  • Proven knowledge of Preventive and Predictive maintenance of industrial instrumentation systems and equipment
  • Excellent communication and team interaction skills
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as lead/participate on teams
  • Proven experience as a self-starter who effectively manages multiple tasks and achieves results with minimal supervision
  • Proven experience in computers and standard software packages (MS Office, E-Mail, etc.)
