Evening
Compensation:
Starting wage is $18.00, with an increase of $3.00 after 60 days.
Position Summary:
The Equipment Operator is responsible for the daily setup, teardown, and basic maintenance of production machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operate machinery to process products using provided tools and equipment.
2. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
3. Monitor equipment performance and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
4. Comply with USDA and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards.
5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
6. Utilize material handling equipment as necessary.
7. Ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
8. Assist in directing team members during production breaks and end-of-day procedures.
9. Be available for unscheduled workdays to perform preventive maintenance on machines.
10. Handle rolls of film weighing approximately 50 lbs with assistance.
11. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
12. Participate in cleanup activities during breaks and at the end of shifts.
Qualifications:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in troubleshooting minor machine issues.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capable of meeting production speed requirements.
- Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening is required.
- Basic computer skills related to machine operation.
- Ability to multitask and identify product quality issues.
- Familiarity with daily production schedules and changeover processes.
- Competent in completing hourly paperwork and submitting daily reports.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8 hours or more).
- Capability to lift, carry, push, or pull weights up to 50 lbs or more.
- Proficient in reaching overhead and adjusting machinery.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks on non-production days.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to damp and cold conditions.
- Work in a noisy environment with machinery.
- Handling of raw materials in a busy setting.
