Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our Debone Department team at Butterball, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Debone Department, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and are produced safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Direct Production Teams: Oversee the work of production associates to ensure efficient labor utilization, maintain optimum line speeds, and proficient yields.
  • Develop and Implement Production Plans: Prepare work schedules, monitor and record employee attendance and performance, and prepare daily accounting reports related to production.
  • Ensure Compliance with Regulations: Maintain accountabilities for all variances, identify equipment problems, and schedule repairs with Maintenance personnel.
  • Lead by Example: Provide direction for necessary training to enhance productivity, employee development, and safety, and act as a leader in safety promotion and awareness.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide feedback on employee work performance, prepare reports for upper management, and ensure that all products meet the specification of USDA, the customer, and the company.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management or related field, or equivalent training and experience. Two years of experience in a poultry processing facility.
  • Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), understanding of USDA Policies and Procedures, basic math and writing skills, and ability to use computers to communicate, record, and analyze data.
Working Conditions

This position will be spent approximately 70% in a manufacturing environment, which is cold and wet, and approximately 30% in a controlled office environment.
