Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Butterball, LLC. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our debone department, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards and are produced safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct the work of production associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and optimal line speeds.
  • Develop and maintain positive associate relations, providing training and development opportunities to enhance productivity and employee development.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, USDA, and OSHA regulations, as well as facility safety rules and company policies.
  • Monitor and record employee attendance and performance, preparing daily accounting reports and identifying equipment problems for maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain accountabilities for all variances and report staffing, morale, work methods, and procedure problems to the department superintendent.
  • Provide direction for necessary training to enhance productivity, employee development, and safety, conducting safety meetings and training as necessary.
  • Verify HACCP paperwork, update attendance calendars, review payroll, check inventories, conduct behavior audits, and manage data on shop floor control boards.
  • Ensure that all products coming out of the debone department meet the specification of USDA, the customer, and the company.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management or related field, or equivalent training and experience.
  • Two years of experience in a poultry processing facility, with a proven track record of leadership and production management.
  • Working knowledge of Plant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and understanding of USDA Policies and Procedures.
  • Basic math and writing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and facilitate the operation in the debone department.

Working Conditions:

Approximately 70% of this individual's time will be spent in a manufacturing environment, which is cold and wet. Approximately 30% of the time will be spent in a controlled office environment.
