Position Overview:
Valiant Integrated Services is seeking a seasoned expert in humanitarian assistance and civil-military coordination, specializing in disaster operational management across various contexts, including natural calamities and conflict zones.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver exceptional training and presentations to both military and civilian entities, focusing on the Humanitarian Assistance Response Training (HART) program.
2. Lead the organization and facilitation of events aimed at enhancing capacity through workshops and training sessions.
3. Develop and refine training curricula to address identified needs and provide insightful recommendations on content.
4. Contribute to the creation of operational case studies and gather best practices related to humanitarian assistance and civil-military coordination.
5. Assist in drafting after-action reports and strategic planning documents.
6. Serve as a recognized authority in humanitarian assistance and civil-military coordination during real-world crises.
7. Engage in cross-branch initiatives and projects as necessary.
8. Prepare analyses, correspondence, planning documents, and professional articles as required.
9. Participate in relevant international and local conferences.
10. Foster existing and new partnerships, identifying collaborative opportunities with diverse stakeholders, including military units and international organizations.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of practical experience in humanitarian assistance and civil-military coordination during international crises.
- Minimum of 3 years of involvement in military exercises with a focus on humanitarian assistance planning and execution.
- Experience collaborating with United Nations agencies, international NGOs, and donor organizations.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver presentations tailored for military and civilian audiences.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Must possess the ability to obtain a SECRET level clearance.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (approximately 40%).
Salary: Compensation will be determined based on experience and relevance to the position.
