Position Summary:
We are in search of a Software Systems Analyst/Developer to join our diverse team supporting the Information Systems Division. This role involves engaging in the design, development, analysis, and implementation of software systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in the design and development of software operating systems and applications.
  • Work under general supervision to create software solutions, encompassing the full life cycle of design and development.
  • Develop and modify software applications based on specifications.
  • Participate in coding, testing, debugging, and documenting software programs.
  • Assist in defining design specifications and parameters, aiding in hardware/software integration.
  • Analyze system architecture requirements and perform data analysis.
  • Conduct research on emerging technologies to assess their impact on application performance.
  • Document client needs and requirements effectively.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including user manuals and training materials.
  • Perform integration testing and provide support for various computer operating systems.
  • Debug software issues and provide customer support.
  • Stay updated on relevant hardware and software applications.
  • Participate in special projects as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or an Associate's Degree in a relevant discipline, or at least an Information Technology (IT) Certification.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in software engineering, including design, coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in SQL, particularly with Ingres and/or Oracle technologies.
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix and command line /Vi Editor is essential.
  • Experience with development tools such as SQL Developer and TOAD is required.
  • Full Stack Development experience with Ingres and/or Oracle is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and GIT is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.
