OBXtek is seeking a skilled App Systems Analyst to support the USCG in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, analyze, and implement software operating systems and software application programs.
  • Participate in the definition of design specifications and parameters, and assist engineers or analysts with hardware/software integration.
  • Analyze system architecture requirements, perform requirements acquisition and definition, and data analysis.
  • Customize purchased applications, perform technical and subject matter research, and analyze client needs and requirements.
  • Write, modify, and maintain technical documentation and specifications, and perform integration testing and support of various computer operating and/or network systems.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software engineering, including design, coding, testing, and documentation of computer programs.
  • Proficiency in SQL using Ingres and/or Oracle technologies, Linux/Unix knowledge, and command line/Vi Editor experience.
  • Experience with development tools like SQL Developer, TOAD, and full stack development using Ingres and/or Oracle.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and tools like JIRA, GIT, and education in a related field or IT certification.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong oral communication and written comprehension capabilities.
