Edison Power Constructors is seeking an experienced Expert Estimator to join our team. As a critical member of our power infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for accurately determining the financial and logistical needs of complex electrical installations.
Key Responsibilities:- Review project documents, including RFPs, drawings, specifications, and contract terms, to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, take measurements, and identify potential obstacles and material logistics.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns, including material, labor, subcontracting, permits, transportation, overheads, and contingencies.
- Prepare bid packages, including cost breakdowns, project timelines, and company qualifications, for submission to clients.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with the project and factor contingency plans and costs into estimates.
- Associates degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8+ years of experience as a journeyman lineman, with a strong understanding of high-voltage systems and procedures.
- Previous experience working for Xcel Energy or similar utilities is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to travel for site visits, meetings with clients, and coordination with subcontractors (travel requirements >50%).
