About the Role

The Office of the Child Advocate (OCA) is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Specialist to join its Quality Assurance Team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of state services provided to children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ombudsperson functions on the OCA Complaint Line, responding to complaints and requests for information and resources from the public.
  • Conduct case reviews of complaints, Critical Incident Reports, and supported allegations of abuse or neglect in out-of-home settings.
  • Identify case practice concerns, trends, gaps, and areas for system-wide practice or policy improvements.
  • Provide clinical analysis and written reports on case reviews and findings.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Managers and Senior Director of Quality Assurance on investigations and special projects.
Requirements
  • Relevant education in social work or a related field (psychology, criminal justice).
  • Experience working within a child protection agency is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts child-serving agencies and organizations, particularly child welfare.
  • Strong writing, communication, and critical analysis skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
