Job Summary

This Clinical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing expert consultation and care to infants, children, and young adults with complex health care needs. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing and current National Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) granted by a Board recognized certifying organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides expert consultation and care to patients with complex health care needs
  • Evaluates the impact of nursing interventions on patient outcomes and integrates knowledge, research findings, and experience to support evidence-based practice
  • Initiates clinical inquiry, evidence-based practice, and facilitates nursing research
  • Advances nursing practice by participation in professional organizations, publications, and dissemination
  • Coordinates care and transitions in collaboration with the patient/population and inter-professional team members
  • Facilitates resolution of ethical conflicts in complex patient care situations
  • Supports an accountable nursing care environment that stimulates continuous self-learning, reflective practice, and invites peer feedback to improve nursing practice
  • Demonstrates advanced interpersonal and communication skills, employs conflict management and negotiation skills to support a healthy work environment
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing
  • Current National Certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) granted by a Board recognized certifying organization
  • APN certification and licensure in MA
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent inpatient pediatric nursing experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Previous CNS experience preferred
