Oncology Care Associate II

The Oncology Care Associate II plays a vital role in the patient care delivery team, providing technical and multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position requires significant contact with healthcare providers, patients, and families, necessitating a high degree of interpersonal and customer service skills to promote a healing environment.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the healthcare team to establish a patient-centered care environment.
- Provide physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance.
- Perform general clerical duties, such as answering telephones, maintaining departmental files, and ordering equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment and protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from a school of practical nursing, a Certified Nurse Assistant Program, a Medical Assistant Program, or equivalent training.
- Ability to successfully complete the basic cardiac arrhythmia monitoring class.
- Previous hospital experience.
