We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at McLaren Health Care. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in providing distributive pharmacy services and technical support for our pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, package, and label IV and unit dose interim and maintenance medications according to prescriber orders and established policies and procedures.
- Assist pharmacists with duties such as filling containers, preparing and affixing labels, prepackaging pharmaceuticals, maintaining records, and stocking supplies.
- Perform pharmacy computer functions as required.
- Prepare and label IVs, hyperalimentation solutions, chemotherapy agents, and other pharmaceutical products.
- Respond to patient admission, transfer, discharge, discontinued medication notices, and process physician orders according to established procedure.
To be successful as a Pharmacy Technician II, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid state Limited or Full Pharmacy Technician License.
- Two years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
