Print Services Manager Job Description

At Helm Inc & Promotions, we are seeking a highly skilled Print Services Manager to oversee the management of our Print Services Department. Key Responsibilities:
  • Department Budget Creation and Compliance: Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Request and Procurement System Creation and Management: Design and implement a request and procurement system to streamline the process of ordering print materials.
  • Vendor Maintenance and Certification: Maintain a network of certified vendors and ensure their compliance with company standards.
  • KPI Creation and Administration: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the department's performance.
  • Department Policy and Procedure Creation and Management: Develop and maintain department policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
  • Print and Fulfillment Procurement Process Management and Corporate Governance: Oversee the procurement process for print and fulfillment services, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • PO Administration: Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of print materials.
  • Paper and Supply Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of paper and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Employee Training: Provide training to employees on print services and procedures.
  • Process Management and Adherence: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, and identify areas for process improvement.
  • Print Vendor Management: Manage relationships with print vendors, ensuring timely delivery and quality of print materials.
  • Print Vendor Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts with print vendors to ensure favorable terms.
Requirements:
  • Digital Printing and Fulfillment: Experience with digital printing and fulfillment for books and variable high-volume and short-run letters/recall.
  • Print and Bindery Techniques: Knowledge of print, bindery, and inmailing techniques and applications for supply chain outsourcing.
  • On-Demand Garment Printing: Experience with on-demand garment printing.
  • Process Improvement: Ability to understand workflow and develop process improvements.
  • QuickBase and Equipment Financing: Knowledge of QuickBase and complex understanding of equipment financing and budgeting.

Education/Experience: BS/BA in Business or equivalent and 5 years of Print Management experience plus 5 years of Digital and Offset experience with variable print and mail experience. Digital Garment Decorating Experience - DTG/DTF/Dye-Sub/Screen Print/Embroidery.
