Forensic Mental Health Specialist

Job Summary
Dartmouth Health seeks a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing medical care to patients, supervising and training other healthcare professionals, and participating in academic and research initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative services to patients
- Supervise and train other healthcare professionals
- Participate in academic and research initiatives
- Abide by Dartmouth Health's policies and procedures
- Review patient records and medical history
- Determine diagnosis and treatment plans
- Order screening and diagnostic tests
- Prescribe medications and treatments
- Initiate referrals and admissions
- Provide consultation and education to patients and families
- Complete documentation in a timely manner
- Ensure patient confidentiality and informed consent
Qualifications
- Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO)
- Postgraduate training in residency program
- Current New Hampshire Medical License
- Current or eligible for ABMS Board Certification
- Active hospital staff membership
